A PhD or Integrated PhD student may submit a synopsis of the proposed PhD thesis to the Subject Board after fulfilling the following:

a) Presenting an open synopsis seminar to their center/department in the presence of the TMC.
b) Obtaining the approval of the Thesis Monitoring Committee/Synopsis committee
c) The student must have a 1st author research paper appearing on a preprint server, or accepted. 
Once the Subject Board convener approves the submission of a synopsis or thesis, the rest of the process of submission and evaluation will follow the general guidelines prescribed by the Academic Council and found here.
