Established in 1991, the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), TIFR, conducts cutting-edge interdisciplinary research spanning molecules to ecosystems. Its focus areas include biochemistry, genetics, neurobiology, ecology, and computational biology. Bringing together diverse expertise, NCBS advances innovative techniques to explore living systems while addressing societal challenges for the greater good. Building on strong foundations of basic science laid by NCBS in its 34 years of existence, researchers at NCBS are now embarking on bolder scientific journeys.
