I am currently pursuing my BS-MS from IISER Pune, majoring in Biology and minor in Chemistry. As a part of the BS-MS program I joined Dr. Amey Redkar’s Lab for my Master’s Thesis and my project focuses on understanding the plant-fungal interactions in root, at cell-specific resolution. Previously, I had worked with Dr. Nishad Matange at IISER Pune towards understanding whether clinical PhoQ mutations in K.pneumoniae activate E.coli PhoQ and also with Dr. Krishanpal Karmodiya at IISER Pune which focused on screening of P.falciparum SET proteins using complementation assay in Yeast.

My research interest lies broadly in understanding host-pathogen interactions, pathogenesis and AMR at molecular and genetic level. As a long term career goal I wish to utilize my knowledge in those fields and perform applicable research.
