Determining multi-host compatibility regulatory mechanisms in fungal pathogenesis

In order to understand core disease determinants that enable Fusarium oxysporum colonization on diverse hosts in pathogenic/endophytic lifestyles, we are broadly interested in addressing the following biological questions;

1. What effector-mediated compatibility dialogue exists in pathogenic and endophytic Fo infection?

2. Which host derived signals are involved in sensing vasculature during wilt infection?

3. How these compatibility or pathogenicity mechanisms are shaped by surrounding microbiome?

4. How vascular-wilt pathogenicity evolved across evolutionary distant lineages in plant evolution.
