I completed my PhD from the Dept. of Genetics, University of Delhi, where I evaluated the efficiency of RNA Interference on controlling pathogenesis of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and as a mode of preliminary functional genomics of fungal candidate genes.
As a DBT-RA in the Root Microbiology Lab, I am investigating the factors responsible for host niche colonisation and lifestyle transitions from endophytic to pathogenic stage of Fusarium oxysporum lifecycle to understand the precise genetic programme that regulates a hemibiotrophic lifestyle during vascular wilt development.
