I completed my BS-MS dual degree in Biological Sciences from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Bhopal. I did my final year Master's thesis work in IISc, Bangalore upon the evolution of social traits of the soil bacterium M. xanthus under repeated population bottleneck conditions. I am an experimentalist who is keenly interested in the impact that microbiological research can have towards tackling pollution and climate change. Currently, I am a graduate trainee at the Root Microbiology lab at NCBS and am working on understanding the interactions between soil bacteria, fungi and plants which may in the future be applied towards safeguarding crops against wilt.
