Fellowship Programs

Our fellowship programmes are designed to open pathways into research for students and learners who face barriers linked to social position, economic disadvantage, or geography. Through mentorship, research exposure, and community support, we aim to make scientific research more accessible and inclusive. 

1. Winter Internship Program

The Winter Internship Program is a two month research internship designed for students during their winter vacation period.

Call for Applications: Early December

Programme Duration: December to February  (depending on students' academic calendars and vacation schedules)

Duration: 2 months

Funding and accommodation will be provided.

2. NCBS × PRISM Fellowship Program

The NCBS × PRISM Fellowship Program is a collaborative initiative with Project EduAccess that provides students with research exposure and mentorship opportunities.

Call for Applications: Early March

Programme Start: May - July (tentatively)

Duration: 2 months

Collaboration: Conducted in partnership with Project EduAccess.

Funding and accommodation will be provided.

3. PRISM National Fellowship Program

The PRISM National Fellowship Program is conducted in collaboration with scientific societies.

Details: Fellows are placed in member laboratories located across the country, enabling them to gain meaningful research experience closer to home. By connecting fellows with research groups in their local regions, the program broadens access to scientific training and mentorship while reducing barriers to participation.

We partner with Project EduAccess to identify and support students who can benefit from these opportunities.
