4th NCBS Core Research Facilities day & 2nd Scientific and Technological Advancements at TIFR (STAT) 2026
About the event
The 4th NCBS Core Research Facilities Day and 2nd Scientific and Technological Advancements at TIFR (STAT) 2026 will be held on 7th and 8th May 2026 at the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Bengaluru.
This two-day event will showcase the research infrastructure and technology platforms available at NCBS and highlight research facilities and technological developments. This meeting bring together facility scientists, researchers, technologists, and industry partners to share developments in emerging technologies that support modern biological and interdisciplinary research.
The program will include talks, poster presentations, and facility highlights, along with opportunities to interact with facility scientists, technical staff, and technology providers. Participants will also have the opportunity to tour the NCBS core research facilities and learn about the capabilities of the instrumentation and the work carried out by facility teams. Panel discussion will bring together experts to discuss the evolving role of shared research infrastructure and technological innovation that enable scientific discovery.

Scientific and Technological Advancements at TIFR (STAT)
STAT is a pan-TIFR initiative that brings together scientific and technical experts from across TIFR centres and field stations to highlight innovations in scientific instrumentation, facility development, and research technologies. The first edition of STAT was hosted at TIFR Hyderabad, where scientific and technical staff from across TIFR institutions came together to showcase research infrastructure and instrumentation development.
This years' event includes participation from research facilities and institutions from TIFR centres, CSIR laboratories, DBT institutes, and other national research organisations creating a broader platform for interaction and exchange.
