BLiSC Science Cafe with Dr. Ranabir Das on 'Sneaky and sophisticated viruses: How cells become virus factories'
The August edition of the BLiSC Science Cafe is with Dr. Ranabir Das. He will be talking about 'Sneaky and sophisticated viruses: How cells become virus factories'!
For a productive infection, viruses need to replicate multiple times and continue to spread. The virus enters a host cell and turns it into a factory for replication. Cellular processes are complex, and there are multiple checks and balances to deal with a foreign pathogen like the virus. Nevertheless, how does the virus circumvent all such processes? That is the topic of the discussion with Dr. Ranabir Das!
