Tanvi Singh joined the National Centre for Biological Sciences as a Research Integrity Officer. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences and a master’s degree in Biotechnology. She began her research career at the Indian Council of Medical Research Headquarters, where she contributed to COVID-19 clinical data management. She later joined the National Institute of Malaria Research, where she worked on mosquito omics datasets, developed an internal data archiving system, and designed R Markdown based training modules to support experimental data organization. As a Project Research Scientist, she collaborated with the Research Integrity Committee on data management practices for high-throughput omics projects. Her research background spans biostatistics, molecular biology, and entomology, with a sustained focus on the behavioural biology of Anopheles mosquitoes.
Her aim is to develop research integrity focused studies that examine data management and reproducibility challenges in large-scale omics and data-intensive biological research.

With a foundation in life sciences from NIT Rourkela and doctoral research in ecology at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, contributed as Research Integrity Officer at NCBS included, setting up the office and its processes, consulting faculty and researchers on institutional data integrity policies, developing SOPs, and teaching research data management to graduate students, facilitating office logistics, text integrity tool procurement, and research misconduct investigations. Previous experience at ATREE involved identifying indigenous medicinal plants for the restoration of agricultural land. Additional roles included collating mammal distribution data using QGIS. Motivated to promote ethical research practices and foster collaboration in academic and research environments.
