NCBS Communications Office - Press Releases
Press Releases
The NCBS Communications Office supports researchers in sharing their latest work with a wider audience through press releases.
When a paper is published online, we prepare and circulate a press release to our media network. This includes national newsrooms such as The Hindu, Times of India, Indian Express, etc, helping bring visibility to your research and increasing the chances of media coverage.

Timeline
Please reach out to the Communications office atleast two weeks in advance of your paper going online. This gives us time to read the manuscript, speak with authors if needed, and prepare the press release so it is ready to be shared as soon as the paper is officially published.
Press releases can only be circulated once the paper is publicly available online.
Information Required
- Expected date of online publication
- A copy of the manuscript (or accepted version)
- Any additional material that may help us understand the work (figures, notes, prior coverage, etc.)
Process
The Communications Office will draft the press release and share it with you for review before circulation. Once the paper is live, the press release will be sent to our media list.
