Parents code of conduct

1. It is the responsibility of the parents to educate their children about appropriate behavior when in the creche. While in the creche, children must respect and listen to the creche teachers and staff. This applies to staying within creche premises, participating in activities, respectful behavior and interaction with other kids and creche staff. .However, please note that it is not Dolna’s responsibility or intent to mold the personality of children.

2. It is the responsibility of the creche staff to ensure that children do not pose danger to themselves or to others in the facility. Dolna staff are not allowed to use corporal punishment in the creche. Most issues will be dealt with affection and/or redirection to other activities and time out is the only punishment in practice.

3. Dolna is an open day care facility. Parents of enrolled children are welcome to visit our center at any time but are requested to please avoid doing so too often as it disrupts the peace and equanimity of the daycare environment.

4. Dolna welcomes parent participation in the activities and operations of the center. Interested parents should kindly direct ideas, queries or complaints to the Dolna coordinator via bhuvanas [at] The creche coordinator will respond to their queries in a prompt and timely manner. A creche parents meeting will be arranged once a year to address issues relating to the daycare facilities. Ultimate decisions in matters or policy and rules and regulations will lie with the Dolna committee and administration. Under no circumstances may the parents order or abuse the Dolna staff.

5. In order to foster a comfortable and safe environment for all children, Dolna staff encourage daily routines for activities, meals and sleep schedules. We request that parents respect these routines unless deviations are required for medical reasons. During the first week of attendance, a personal attendant will assist the child and staff in assimilating to Dolna routines and the child’s personal needs. Following this period, children will be cared for by all staff throughout the day and personal attendants are not allowed.
