All three institutions of the Bangalore Life Science Cluster derive substantial core support from the Government of India. This has allowed us to consistently build bold scientific programs of exceptional quality. However, as our programs grow, we realize that a mixed funding portfolio of government and philanthropic funds will be crucial for us to make rapid use of emerging opportunities and to further our reach. In all our endeavors, we look to broad-minded partners who share our vision of transformational science and who can help support our efforts in creating and sustaining an outstanding, internationally competitive scientific hub in India.

Building on strong foundations of  basic science laid by NCBS in its 25 years of existence, members of the Bangalore Life Science Cluster are now embarking on bolder scientific journeys made possible by applied research and innovation. Building on strong foundations of exceptional science and enabling funding, we now seek to create and sustain an endowment fund for the NCBS campus. An endowment fund would be invaluable for us to catalyze nascent ideas, support unanticipated expenses, further the exchange of talented research investigators to and from our campus and help us engage effectively with the broader social context we work in.

We work across with campus colleagues and external individuals and organizations to identify fundraising priorities, facilitate campus funding, manage donor engagement events, communications matters and build sustainable relationships with donors.
