A.Gandhimathi (May 2014-)
I have done my Bachelor's in Biotechnology/Biochemistry from Avinashilingam Deemed University and then Master's in Bioinformatics from Bharathiar University, Tamil Nadu. My PhD work in the lab was involved in studying the proteins from two aspects such as the relationships of distantly related proteins and deciphering the protein-protein, protein-ligand interaction through virtual screening and drug design concepts
Rithvik Vinekar (September 2014-)
I did my bachelors in engineering (BE Biomedical Engineering) from Mumbai University and Masters in Bioinformatics from University of Pune. I obtained a Ph.D in the field of Computational Biology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in 2014. My thesis work was concerned with the study of regulation of enzyme Isocitrate Dehydrogenase in Mycobacterium tuberculosis using molecular simulation and other bioinformatics techniques.
Prashant Shingate (August 2009 - Registered in Manipal University) (Ph.D Thesis submitted)
I am from Pune. I have done my Bachelors in Biotechnology from Modern College (affiliated to University of Pune). Further I pursued my Masters in Bioinformatics from Bioinformatics Centre, University of Pune. I had joined NCBS in August 2009
Margaret Sunitha (June 2009-Registered in Bharathidasan University) (Ph.D Thesis Submitted) I did my Bachelors (B.Sc) in Biochemistry from Auxilium College, Vellore.Then I completed my Masters (M.Sc) in Bioinformatics from Stella Maris College, Chennai affiliated to Madras University. Harini Krishnan (November 2009-Registered in Bharathidasan University) (Ph.D Thesis Submitted) I did B.Sc Zoology (Meenakshi College for Women), Chennai. My post graduation was in Biotechnology (M.Sc Biotechnology) from University of Madras, Chennai.I joined NCBS in 2005 and had been working on serine proteases. Later I registered for a Ph.D degree at Bharathidasan University in 2010.
Adwait Joshi (August 2009 - Registered in Manipal University) I am from Pune. I did my Bachelors (B.Sc.) in Biotechnology from Modern College, Ganeshkhind, affiliated to University of Pune. I then pursued my Masters (M.Sc.) in Bioinformatics from Bioinformatics Centre, University of Pune. I had joined NCBS in August 2009. Atul K. Upadhyay (November 2010-Registered with TIFR) I did my Bachelors in agriculture (B.Sc. Ag.) from Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. I completed my masters (M.Sc. Ag.) in Agriculture with specialization in Plant Biotechnology from IABT, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, Karnataka.
Anshul Sukhwal (September 2010-Registered in SASTRA University) I did my B.Tech. from Vellore Institute of Technology in the field of Bioinformatics.During my free time I love playing Cricket and Badminton. Shaik Naseer Pasha (August 2011- Registered in Manipal University) I did my Bachelors (B.Sc) in Chemistry, Zoology and Biotechnology and Masters (M.Sc) in Biochemistry from Indian Academy College, Bangalore University, Bangalore.
Mahita Jarjapu (August 2011 - Registered with TIFR) I am a chemist by training. I did my Bachelors (B.Sc) in Botany, Zoology and Chemistry from St.Francis College for Women, Osmania University, Hyderabad. Subsequently, I did my M.Sc in Chemistry from IIT-Madras.My hobbies include painting, drawing and writing.
Pritha Ghosh (August 2012 -Registered with TIFR ) I did my Bachelors (B.Sc) in Microbiology from St.Xavier’s College (Calcutta), Kolkata and Masters (M.Sc) in Biochemistry from the Department of Biochemistry, University of Calcutta, Kolkata. Apart from being a photography enthusiast, I also love dancing and singing.
Snehal Karpe (August 2012 - Registered with TIFR ) I did my Bachelors (B.Sc) in Biotechnology from Fergusson College, Pune, Maharashtra. Then I completed my Masters (M.Sc) in Bioinformatics from Pune University, Pune, Maharashtra.
Meenakshi Iyer (January 2015-)
JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS:Nitish Sathyanarayanan I graduated with BE. Biotechnology from Sir M VIT, Bangalore in the year 2012, soon after which I joined Prof. Sowdhamini’s lab. Presently I am a joint student between Prof. Sowdhamini and Prof. Ramaswamy (inStem).Apart from lab, I am an avid trekker and love travelling.
SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR:Oommen K. Mathew (June 2012- ) I joined the lab as a system administrator and registered for Ph. D in 2012 before which I worked as a Software Tech Lead in Software Industries since 2005 where I could sharpen my strengths like System Architecture and Development, Optimized computing and Management of Huge Databases. I have done my Masters in Bioinformatics and my Bachelors in Computer Applications. Here I am focused on the development and implementation of Parallel Computing Algorithms, Databases, Tools and WebServices apart from the maintenance of Clusters. I am fond of Linux, Python and Badminton.

Hari Prasanna (September 2014-) I did my Bachelors(B.Tech) in Biotechnology from Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai.
Ashwin Vargheese (December 2014-) I am a final year Bsc. Ag. Biotech student from Agricultural College, Hassan. I am here as a part of my 16 weeks Biotechnology Work Experience Programme.
Ranjitha H.N (December 2014-) I am a student trainee, currently in my final(4th) year BSc Agri in Agricultural Biotechnology in the University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore, Agriculture College Hassan(sub campus).
