Job description:
We are seeking a candidate who is interested in working on exciting problems in cell biology. Questions of interest will be largely centered around cell proliferation, in diverse contexts such as development and disease. The job responsibilities will involve one or a combination of mammalian cell-culture, live and fixed cell microscopy and molecular biology techniques. The candidate will be expected to work closely with theoretical biologists within the lab and elsewhere to develop a quantitative understanding of the experimental data. If interested, the candidate will also have the opportunity to learn computational techniques for the analysis of the data being generated.
Qualification & Experience required:

Any of the following degrees: M.Sc. in any branch of Science or MCA or B.Tech/BE or M.Tech/ME with aggregate 60% of marks from a recognized university.

Prior experience in molecular biology and cell culture techniques will be favorably considered.

Prior experience with techniques such as immunostaining and live/fixed-cell microscopy will be strongly preferred.

Candidates with the ability to think quantitatively will be strongly preferred.
Number of position: 1
Contract term: The position will be for 1 year subject to a performance review after 3 months. At the end of the first year, there will be potential for extending the contract by one more year.
Age limit: 40
Salary offered: 31000 + 24% HRA
