Course Outline:

This is an introductory to mid level course on fundamental principles of ecology. We will start with a broad overview of the field, covering population to ecosystems ecology and interactions between organisms and environment at different scales. We will then focus on selected topics in greater depth, including population dynamics, coexistence, species distributions and eco-evolutionary dynamics. At the end of the course students can expect to be familiar with basic concepts and a major historical developments in ecology, with advanced understanding of selected topics.
