Call for Seed Grant proposals 2019

Call Outline

The Accelerator program for diseases in brain using stem cells (ADBS) invites applications for “Seed Grants” from researchers to develop proposals for studying basic biological mechanisms in brain functions in context of neuropsychiatric disorders.

ADBS seed grants are awarded to stimulate high quality research using the resources of ADBS. Grants will be provided to scientists from any institution in India (subject to DBT guidelines) who wish to use the resources of the Biorepository to understand the basic biology underlying the neuropsychiatric disorders. Awardees are expected to generate preliminary data and using that apply for funding from an external agency to continue a full program of science.

Applications will be screened and evaluated for scientific content including whether they constitute a meaningful use of the Biorepository resources. Successful candidates will obtain access to relevant elements of the Biorepository resources as well as funds to employ a junior research fellow and a consumable budget for 2 years.

Budget

1 JRF position and suitable consumable costs for 2 years. No equipment costs but access to ADBS core facilities and resources

Who can apply?
