National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS)

NCBS will use modern methods of genomics to characterize the genetic background that predisposes to disease development as well as characterize the cell biology and physiology of neural cells derived from the iPSC lines.

The Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine (inStem)

inStem will use state-of-the art stem cell technology to generate iPSC lines from patient derived cells and use these to create models of neural cells in culture.

National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS)

NIMHANS, Bangalore,  works on the clinical aspects of mental disorders. NIMHANS has established cohorts for several mental disorders such as dementia, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, addiction and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Doctors at NIMHANS will map the evolution of neuropsychiatric illness via detailed and serial clinical assessment of patients and at-risk individuals from families with high incidences of disorders over several years.
