Dolna Staff Policy
Do not discuss about children or their families except in a professional context.
Staff should not come to work with any infectious diseases or when ill to prevent an outbreak from occurring.
Toys should be sterilised and wiped down at the end of each day.
It's important to wash hands frequently throughout the day to prevent the spread of germs between worker and child.
Staff should be watching their assigned children at all times to prevent injury or other issues.
Staff should periodically check the toys for any loose or broken pieces that could hurt the children.
Staff should have a friendly disposition while at work and should not yell or raise their voices around children or co-workers.
Staff should conduct themselves with digression outside of work as well.
Child abuse will strictly not be tolerated. Child abuse: when a child is physically hurt by intention, cruel and inappropriate punishment, or when the child is not fed adequate food, changed into fresh clothes, medical care, or left in dangerous conditions and environments.
Sensitive information about children should not be shared in any public area of the centre.
It is recommended to not use screen time or at least limit it to very special occasions.
Personal calls for staff should be conducted either before or after their shift, or on a lunch break
It is recommended to not allow the use of cell phones while staff are with the children.
Immediate and strict disciplinary action will be taken for any prohibited activities :
Neglect of physical abuse of a child.
Withholding of food, nap, or other comforts from a child.
Yelling or the use of harsh tones of voice.
Failure to report to work and no whereabouts.
Leaving a child/children unattended.
Allowing a child to leave the centre with an unauthorised person.
Sleeping while supervising children.
Insubordination
Without written parental communication to the Coordinator, no employee will administer or apply any over-the-counter products such as sunscreen, insect repellent, diaper cream/ointment, vitamin syrups, cough syrups, anti-histamines, homeopathy medicines, paracetamol etc.
Staff members are expected to wash hands
Upon arriving at the centre or when changing classrooms
After each diaper change or using the toilet
Before and after meal times
Before and after administering medication
After handling bodily fluids (mucus, blood vomit)
After coming indoors from the playground
After cleaning or handling garbage
Staff has to bring their issues, concerns, queries, etc. to the Creche coordinator for immediate resolutions.
Staff are hereby informed to execute their responsibilities and duties as per the rules, regulations, policy, and SOPs of Dolna and the guidance of the Dolna FAC and the Coordinator. Failure to meet these requirements and adhere to the code of conduct may result in further disciplinary action, including termination of employment, with immediate effect depending on the severity of the mistake.
